The Westchester County Charter Revision Commission was established to study, review and recommend changes to the Westchester County Charter and Administrative Code with the goal of eliminating waste, improving services and increasing the overall efficiency of County Government. It is composed of 23 members appointed by the BOL and County Executive.
“The Commission has worked diligently to provide a list of recommendations that we wish the public to consider before we finalize our report to county officials,” WCCRC Chairman Richard G. Wishnie said in a statement.
After two years of deliberations and hearing testimony from various experts and elected officials, the WCCRC has voted on twenty-two proposals submitted by its four Focus Groups.
The proposals are contained in the final report, which will be submitted to the BOL and County Executive no later than Dec. 15, 2013.
