Health officials want to inform the public despite the fact most have received vaccinations against the highly infectious disease.

The health department said the unidentified student from Bard College traveled on Amtrak train No. 283 on Sunday, Jan. 25 from New York Penn Station to Albany. The train made spots in the Yonkers and Croton-Harmon stations in Westchester.

The student has been isolated during recovery and Bard has been working with both the state and Dutchess County health departments to ensure the health and safety of those who may have had contact with the student, the college said in a statement. Local medical officials are being alerted to watch for patients with measles symptoms, the college said.

Those who have been immunized or born on or before 1957 are not at risk, according to health officials.
