Specials Lined up at White Plains' Ebersole Rink

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains would like to welcome skaters to an improved Ebersole Ice Rink, which now includes 300 new rental skates, a skate sharpening machine and home-style meals and snacks at the Slap Happy Café.

The Delfino Park rink is now holding public skating sessions from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays. The later Thursday session allows two skaters to get in for the price of one.

On Fridays the rink is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., which features music by a live DJ.

Ebersole welcomes skaters from 12:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

There is an adult only public skating session from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Sundays with an all-ages session following from 1:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ebersole will be hosting a few special events during the next two months, including a Martin Luther King Jr. Day public skating session from 12:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. and a disco night featuring DJ-spun music starting at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21.
