The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Monday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 41-year-old Marcus Long, who has moved to an apartment on Martin Luther King Boulevard in White Plains.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Long a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Long had sexual intercourse and contract with his victim in 1999, when he was arrested by members of the White Plains Police Department. He was convicted in January the following year and sentenced to between 41 months and four years in state prison. He remains under the jurisdiction of detectives in White Plains.
