Rockland County DA Thomas Zugibe Named State Association Head

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Rockland County’s Thomas Zugibe will become head of the state District Attorneys Association sooner than anticipated, democratandchronicle.com reports.

Broome District Attorney Gerald Mollen was scheduled to remain president through July 2016.

After absentee and affidavit ballots were counted Tuesday, Republican challenger Stephen Cornwall led Mollen 20,630 to 20,121, the article says. Mollen is now out of the office he’s held since 1987.
