The substance was discovered while authorities executed a search warrant on the SUV owned by Erik Refvik. Officials said the substance is being tested and did not comment on what the nature of the substance might be, LoHud.com said.
Refvik allegedly drove down South Lexington Avenue while intoxicated and slammed head-on into a car carrying Reyda LaMadrid, 47, and her husband Edgar Lopez, 49. LaMadrid was killed and Lopez sustained serious injureis, LoHud.com said.
