Red Cross Announces Blood Drives Countywide

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to help their communities prepare for emergencies by giving blood during September, which is National Preparedness Month.

The Red Cross needs blood donors of all types – especially those with types AB, O negative, B negative and A negative.

Here are the upcoming blood donation opportunities: 

  • Sept. 18: White Plains Presbyterian Church, 39 N. Broadway, 11:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Sept. 18: North Salem Firehouse, 301 Titicus Road, White Plains, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sept.25: John Jay High School, 60 North Salem Road Mamaroneck, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sept. 25: Mamaroneck EMS, 220 North Barry Extension, North Salem, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
