PURCHASE, N.Y. -- A multi-vehicle accident resulted in heavy delays Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of the Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287) and the Hutchinson River Parkway (Exit 9).

The accident was reported at 3:45 p.m.
