Much-Needed Round Of Heavy Rain Moving Into To White Plains

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County residents experienced one more day of above average temperatures before clouds, rain, and potential localized flooding move into the area Wednesday night and throughout Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds and a chance of rain and thunderstorms will move into the area overnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday will be cloudy and soggy with the best chance of thunderstorms coming after 10 a.m. Temperatures will be much cooler with a high of around 76 degrees. Chance of rain is 70 percent.

Showers and thunderstorms could get heavy at times overnight on Thursday with the potential for localized flooding in urban areas and places with poor drainage.

Showers could linger before noon on Friday before clearing out with a high near 78.

Sun will return on Saturday with highs in the mid-70s, but clouds will return on Sunday and could bring showers in the afternoon.
