Men today are shopping more like women by buying clothes on impulse, scanning websites for a "look" they like and buying online, according to the Wall St. Journal.
This huge change is making a big difference in men's fashion, and the way retailers market to men, according to the Wall St. Journal. According to Mr. Porter, a luxury online store for men, men also are shopping more on their phones with 25 percent of their business coming from mobile devices, up from 12 percent in 2014, said the Wall Street Journal.
Another important change is that today, men who usually like their trips to be quick and targeted, are being enticed to make other purchases, according to the Wall St. Journal. Club Monaco says it has noticed more men browsing and considering other items than the jacket they originally came in to the store to purchase, according to the Wall St. Journal. They also are mixing high cost with low, vintage with new and street wear with formal wear, added the Wall Street Journal.
