Mass At Madison Square Garden Serves As Finale To Pope Francis NYC Visit

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Pope Francis concluded his visit to New York with busy day capped by a mass at Madison Square Garden Friday night that was attended by an estimated 18,000 people.

People lined up for hours along Seventh Avenue to get a glimpse of Francis.

The Pope also visited a handful of other New York landmarks, including the United Nations and visiting September 11 victims' families at Ground Zero.

Before the service, he led a motorcade that drew tens of thousands of onlookers through Central Park.
