Longer Tweets Will Soon Get OK On Twitter

Twitter users will soon have a bit more room to flex their literary muscle as the company plans to loosen up its long-held 140 character restriction, according to recode.net.

Experts believe the company will expand the posting limit to 10,000 characters, which is the limit currently imposed on its Direct Messages. The new character limit doesn't have a set release date, but is expected toward the end of the first quarter, recode.net reported.
