Learn Environmental Landscaping At White Plains Seminar

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Westchester County Soil and Water Conservation District and Department of Planning will present a half-day seminar titled “Designing Environmentally Sound Landscapes” on Friday, Dec. 13.

The workshop is at the Westchester County Center in White Plains and will run from 8:45 a.m. until 1 p.m., with breakfast and registration beginning at 8 a.m.

The talk is tailored to site design and development professionals, municipal representatives and homeowners who want to learn how to plan for and design man-made landscapes that improve the quality of the natural environment. It is New York State-approved for 3.5 continuing education credits (CEUs) for landscape architects.

Speakers will include Peter Trowbridge and Josh Cerra, professors at Cornell University’s Landscape Architecture Department, and Kim Eierman, a landscape consultant and environmental horticulturist.
