Hospital Brings Scarecrow Festival to White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Families are invited to stuff their own scarecrows at the Auxiliary of White Plains Hospital's annual Scarecrow Festival Oct. 16.

Straw, shirts, pants, neckties, hats, and other accessories will be provided at the Kids' B.A.S.E. at 307 Mamaroneck Ave. in Scarsdale. Participants are encouraged to bring their own attire for the life-sized scarecrow they'll bring home with a birth certificate. The festival will also feature arts and crafts for kids, a bake sale, raffles and other entertainment.

The price for stuffing one scarecrow is $40 for a family of up to five and $15 for each additional scarecrow. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the White Plains Hospital. Pre-registration is required. To sign up or read more about the festival visit the hospital's website.
