Hospice And Palliative Care Announces New Officers, Board

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Hospice and Palliative Care of Westchester has voted in a number of local people as officers and members of its board of directors, organization officials said.

Mary Gibbons Gardiner, a Larchmont resident , has been named to the board of directors for Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester.

Susan Yubas of Rye will serve as board chair; Kathleen McArdle of Port Chester will serve as vice chair Joanne Ciaramella, Esq., of White Plains as its secretary and Charles Trainor of Briarcliff Manor as its treasurer.

Named as members of the board were: Mary Gibbons Gardiner of Larchmont; Jean LePere of Brewster and George Whitehead, of Hopewell Junction.

As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™, Gardiner specializes in helping women in transition, especially during divorce and widowhood, the organization said.

She is a member of Westchester Community College’s Salon Series and has co-chaired the YWCA’s Women’s Marketplace on several occasions.

LePere is the regional corporate and community engagement manager for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

She is member of the board of Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester; a member of Putnam County Medical Reserve Corps; State Collaborative for Palliative Care; and the New York State Cancer Consortium.

She is also professional advisory board member of Cancer Support Community of Central New Jersey and a grants reviewer for the New York City affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Whitehead, is a partner at PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, a commercial audit practice , where he focuses on the manufacturing, retail, distribution, construction, and technology industries. A public accountant, he has volunteered with the hospice organization and has served on its development advisory board since 2014.
