WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains police confiscated 25 bags of what officers believe to be marijuana, one bag of what police suspect to be heroin, 500 milligrams of alleged cocaine, and an illegal knife in a narcotics investigation conducted over the weekend.
Six men were arrested in the narcotics bust, beginning with two White Plains residents taken into custody early Friday morning.
Officers arrested Thomas Saunders Jr., 21, outside his Fisher Avenue home where they found a black and silver gravity butterfly knife, and eight bags of what officers believe to be marijuana on him.
Saunders was charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and one counts of unlawful posession of marijuana.
Travon Hall, 21, was also arrested near 33 Fisher Ave. around 3 a.m. Friday. Hall was found with nine bags or 7.1 grams of what police suspect is marijuana.
He was charged with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
On Saturday, the investigation yielded two more arrests near the intersection of S. Lexington Avenue and Dennison Street.
Anthony Roper, 41, of White Plains, was arrested just before 8 p.m. Saturday. Officers said he was carrying one bag of what they suspect is heroin and had a dollar bill with alleged cocaine in it.
Roper was charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Officers also arrested Carlos Crespo Jr., 36, of Pelham, on S. Lexington Avenue after they found six bags or 4.6 grams of what appeared to be marijuana on him.
Crespo was charged with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police arrested two more a little after midnight Sunday in a parking lost on E. Post Road.
Officers watching 212 E. Post Rd. said they saw Michael Abbruzzi Jr., 23, of New Rochelle, sniff what looked like cocaine in the front passenger seat of a red car.
Police then discvoered a Ziploc baggy with 500 milligrams of alleged cocaine in his front pocket.
Abbruzzi was arrested and charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
His driver, Joseph Margotta, 22, of New Rochelle, was also arrested and charged with one count of first-degree loitering, a misdemeanor.
