You can leave the gloves and hats behind this weekend but an umbrella and rain boots will come in handy as an inch of rain and thunderstorms soak the area, according to the National Weather Service.
There’s a 100 percent chance of downpours Sunday, and we could get as much as an inch of new rain fall. Thunderstorms are expected to roll through the area as well Sunday.
Sunday, there’s going to be rain — lots of it — and possibly thunderstorms. The bright side is, the highs will be near 60. The storms throughout the day could produce heavy rainfall and drivers should expect patchy fog before 3 p.m.
Rain should taper off before nightfall as temperatures plunge to a low around 29 with a windchill of 25 degrees. West wind could be as high as 28 mph. But the chance of rain is only 20 percent.
Monday, you will likely wake to dry sunny skies temperatures around the freezing mark. West wind gusts, however, could be as high as 28 mph. Couple that with the wet weather from Sunday, and there could be icy conditions on some roadways Monday morning.
