Heavy Rain, Storms Moving Into White Plains

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Storms are heading into Westchester starting Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a chance of showers between overnight between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 a.m. Lows will be around 66. Chance of rain is 50 percent.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm will continue through the area Tuesday, with some storms producing heavy rain. High will be near 78. Chance of rain is 90 percent, with new rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.  

Showers are likely with a possible thunderstorm before 9 p.m. Tuesday night, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., followed by a slight chance of showers after 1 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Tuesday’s low will be around 67. Chance of rain is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible, except for higher amounts during thunderstorms.
