Heavy Rain, Storms Kick Off Weekend In White Plains

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Westchester residents can expect heavy rain and thunderstorms to kick off the weekend on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm will come through the area during the day, with some storms producing heavy rain. High near 80. Chance of rain is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts could be between one-half and three quarters of an inch.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight Friday night, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of rain is 30 percent.

Saturday will be sunny with a high near 83.
