WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. The White Plains Hospital Center has partnered with the City of White Plains to offer a series of free health-care lectures geared towards those 50 and older, according to a city release.
Our goal with this lecture series is to make important, health-related information easily accessible to everyone who needs it by bringing it directly into the community, Mayor Thomas Roach said in a statement.
The lecture series was also held last year beginning in October. This year, there will be three lectures in the city Community Center on 65 Mitchell Place from 5 to 6 p.m. on the following dates:
- Sept. 20 Registered nurse Christina Coons will talk about supporting the family caregiver and the risks and challenges they face.
- Oct. 18 Physician assistant Daniella Gagner will talk about breast cancer.
- Nov. 15 Dr. Raj Budhavarapu will talk about integrated medicine and the role of nutrition and exercise in whole-body wellness.
We are pleased to once again partner with the City of White Plains to bring important health information to our hospital community, Kellie Montagnino, assistant director of community outreach for White Plains Hospital, said in a statement.
