WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A federal agent with the U.S. Department of Labor parked his government-issued 2008 Dodge Durango near the intersection of Terrace Avenue and Warren Street Monday night and discovered both right tires had been slashed when he returned Tuesday afternoon.
Someone punctured the tires between 10 p.m. Monday and 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports.
The agent said the two damaged tires on the black Durango cost $400.

- Officers noticed two people passing what they believed to be a marijuana cigarette on Martine Avenue Tuesday evening. Police watched both Christine Ruh, 25, of Eastchester, and Andrew Ross, 27, of Brooklyn, put the cigarette to their lips and "deeply inhale," according to police reports.
Police said they noticed a "pugnent" odor of marijuana as they approached the duo. Officers then recovered the hand-rolled cigarette that contained a greenish-brown substance believed to be marijuana.
Back at headquarters police found two Ziploc bags containing what they thought was marijuana in Ross' front pant pocket. Ruh also had a zmall Ziploc baggie full of alleged marijuana in her front right pocket.
Both were arrested and charged with two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana.
- Officers returned to Wal-Mart twice Tuesday to arrest three women for shoplifting.
Police first arrived around 3:15 p.m. to pick up Tara Rogers, 19, of Yonkers, and Catherine McGeechan, 30, of Yonkers. Security stopped the women after watching them stuff 24 items in McGeechan's purse and walk out without paying for $133.42 in stolen goods, according to police reports.
Rogers and McGeechan were both arrested and charged with one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
About two hours later, police returned to arrest Bianca Taylor, 23, of Cortland Manor, who allegedly stole $100.67 worth of cosmetic and hygiene products. Taylor was charged with one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
