Buyer Beware: Online Scam Uses Facebook To Sell Discounted Clothes

It turns out those too-cheap-to-be true dress shops on Facebook are run by e-commerce gangs of intellectual property thieves, reports Buzzfeed.

Using stolen images of designer clothing, models and even celebrities, multiple Chinese companies produce online spreads of great-looking fashions at thrift store prices, reports Buzzfeed.

Instead of designer-looking dud customers report the clothing usually arrives in tiny sizes, made of flimsy fabric that smell like chemicals, reports Buzzfeed.

These companies, despite mounting complaints to multiple agencies, have a high number of Facebook Likes (DressLilly has over 7 million) giving them instant goodwill, reports Buzzfeed.
