Business Council of Westchester Announces Business Hall of Fame Winners

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Business Council of Westchester recently announced the winners of the 2014 Business Hall of Fame Awards. 

The winners will be honored at the 2014 Business Hall of Fame Awards Dinner on April 23 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. 

The honorees are New York-Presbyterian Hospital; Tommie Copper Founder Tom Kallish; Acorda Therapeutics Chief Executive Officer Ron Cohen; Green Team Spirit Founder Dani Glaser; and Liberty Lines Transit managing partners Bruce Bernacchia, Joe Murphy and Gerard Bernacchia. 

“We have such a distinguished group of honorees for this year’s Hall of Fame Awards. There were many outstanding nominees this year and making the final selection was difficult,” said Marsha Gordon, president and chief executive officer of the Business Council of Westchester. “This fine roster of winners will join an esteemed group of individuals and companies who have exemplified Westchester County business.”

Kallish is set to accept the Entrepreneurial Success award,  Acorda Therapeutics will receive the Small Business Success award, Glaser will accept the Women in Business Success award and Liberty Lines Transit's managing partners will accept the Family Owned Business award.

The Business Hall of Fame has inducted more than 50 business leaders since its inception 13 years ago.
