Bronx Man Arraigned for White Plains Hit and Run

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - County police arrested a Bronx man Wednesday night after he allegedly knocked a man against a car while fleeing from a three-car crash he’d caused on the Hutchinson River Parkway in White Plains. Bronx resident Hagay Ziv, 32, was arraigned in White Plains City Court Thursday and charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an injury accident and reckless driving. All three charges are misdemeanors.  Ziv was driving his 2008 Chevy Tahoe south on the Hutchinson River Parkway Wednesday when he rear-ended a Dodge Ram that then collided with a 2007 Honda Civic, according to a Westchester County Police press release.  After drivers said they were going to call police, Ziv drove away from the collision near the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and Hutchinson River Parkway, police said. As he pulled away, Ziv hit and thrust the Dodge Ram's driver into his car. The driver suffered minor injuries. The other drivers then snapped a photo of Ziv’s rear license plate, which helped county police arrest Ziv at his home.
