XcodeGhost provided hackers access to users’ devices and allowed phishing for passwords and login information, according to the report.

Officials at WeChat (China’s biggest messaging app), Didi Kuaidi (a ride-hailing app comparative to Uber) and music-streaming service called NetEase Inc. – some of the most popular apps infected – said customer information was not compromised, said Time.
