Alert Issued For Missing, Vulnerable 21-Year-Old Man In Westchester

Law enforcement agencies in Westchester are attempting to locate a 21-year-old man who has been reported missing after expressing suicidal ideation.

An alert was issued by the Yonkers Police Department for John J. Barquilla, who was reported missing on Wednesday, April 28 by friends and family.

According to police, Barquilla was last seen in the area of an apartment building on Hart Avenue wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants, and red slippers.

Police described Barquilla as a 5-foot-8 Pacific Islander weighing approximately 150 pounds with brown hair and black eyes. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts has been asked to contact the Yonkers Police Department by calling (914) 377-7900 or 911.
