- The Traffic Commission meets at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the council chambers. The commission will discuss a request to review traffic surrounding the Winward School. Tami Andolino said cars back up along Winward Avenue and onto West Street during drop off and pick up hours, which could hinder emergency vehicles' access to the neighborhood in times of need. The commission will also consider a request from Elsie Lahrmann to reduce the speed limit to 25 miles per hour on several streets in the Gedney Farms neighborhood, including: Richbell Road, Easton Avenue, Ethelridge Road, Fairway Drive, Heatherbloom Road and Gedney Esplanade. Lahrmann sent a letter to the commission explaining driving concerns on behalf of the Gedney Association, which agreed that reduced speed limits should be considered at its meeting.
