4 Arrested in White Plains Narcotics Investigation

WHITE PLAIN, N.Y. -- Complaints about drug dealing near Old Mamaroneck Road and Mamaroneck Avenue prompted a narcotics investigation and four marijuana-related arrests this weekend.

Police said Dwayne "Nunu" Addison, 36, of White Plains, was selling marijuana along Old Mamaroneck Road this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Addison was arrested Sunday night and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of marijuana, one count of fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, one count of fifth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, and two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana. Two of the six charges are felonies.

Police first spotted Addison's transactions just after 10 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and Shapham Place. Officers saw Michael Carlton, 26, of Yonkers, buy 30.6 grams of marijuana from Addison, according to police reports.

Officers recovered the marijuana as well as two plastic bags containing 800 milligrams of what appeared to be crack-cocaine.

He was arrested and charged with one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

The next evening, officers saw Addison back on Mamaroneck Avenue near Bloomingdale Road where police reports indicate Vincent Taylor, 37, bought marijuana from Addison. Police attempted to arrest Taylor, a Greenburgh resident, just before 10 p.m. Saturday, and he began flailing his arms while attempting to pull away from the officers handcuffing him. Taylor then threw his body against the ground, dragging officers down with him.

Police said they then found three clear Ziploc bags containing a brownish-green substance believed to be marijuana on Taylor.

Taylor was arrested and charged with one count of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

A few hours later officers watched Addison sell approximately one gram of marijuana to Jody Green, 30, a White Plains resident.

Green was arrested and charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
