WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Robert G. Bentley, 75, a longtime resident of White Plains, died April 8.
Bentley worked as the facilities manager for IBM in White Plains for 18 years.
Born in Boston, Mass., he served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. Bentley married Carolee Bates at the Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville in 1968. He enjoyed fishing on the Long Island Sound. Bentley was a member of the Interfaith Caring Community as well as a member of the Dobbs Ferry Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carolee; a twin brother, John Bentley; two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Dobbs Ferry Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
