WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - William G. Nagle Jr, a long time resident of White Plains, died after a short illness on September 21. He was 60 years old
He was born on April 30, 1951 in Bronxville to the late William G. Nagle and Mary Jane Nagle. Nagle grew up in Scarsdale, where he continued to attend services as a member of Hitchcock Presbyterian Church.
He graduated from Trinity-Pawling School and Curry College in Massachusetts. Nagle went on to work as a credit analyst for Union Carbide in Danbury, CT as well as an order processing specialist for OCR Data Systems, Inc. Before his retirement, he worked at Sprague/Rad Energy Corp.
Nagle also served on the board of Tibbetts Condo Association in White Plains and was an active member of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. He loved to write of his experiences and tell stories about his childhood.
Nagles interests ranged from the front page of the newspaper to the comics. He was an avid coin collector and was interested in sports. He was also interested in the continuing development of White Plains as well as the history of the Tudors of England and the family problems of the Austrian Hapsburgs.
Nagle is survived by his brother Don and his wife Cindy of Glen Rock, NJ and another brother Jim and his wife Beth of New Canaan, CT, as well as his sister Barbara and her husband Bill Muench of Manchester Center, VT. He was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews Chris Nagle, Tess Nagle, Grace Nagle, Sarah Nagle, Emma Scott, Weston Muench and Taylor Muench. He is remembered by his family for his positive outlook and sense of humor.
Funeral services will be announced by his family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
