WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The White Plains fourth StoryWalk selection, “Little Lost Tiger,” will continue through Thursday, Oct. 1 at Bryant-Mamaroneck Park.
“Little Lost Tiger,” by Jonathan London, and illustrated by Ilya Spirin, is a story about a mother Siberian tiger and her cub traveling through the forest. The mother nudges her cub beneath a fallen tree, and then goes in search of food. Suddenly, there's a roar, louder than any tiger, of wind and fire. The cub squeals for his mother, but the two are separated until the fiery danger has passed.
StoryWalk, which is free, combines a children's story with a popular walking route. Children's books are selected and pages of the story are placed along a walking path at regular intervals so readers can follow the story as they walk the route.
StoryWalk is sponsored by the City of White Plains Recreation and Parks Department in partnership with the White Plains Public Library.
