Barbara Trombacco, 93, Ex-White Plains Operator

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Barbara Francesca LiMarzi Trombacco, 93, of Parrish, Fla., died April 14. 

Retired as a keypunch operator for Westchester County, Trombacco was a former resident of White Plains and Armonk.  

She was born April 19, 1918, in Marzi, Cosenza, Italy, to the late Joseph and Rosa Pontero LiMarzi. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1931 and was raised by her father and stepmother, the late Maria Tucci LiMarzi. 

On Sep. 7, 1947, she married the late Rocco Trombacco Sr. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. Trombacco moved to Florida in 2007 and loved knitting and baby-sitting.  

She is survived by a son, Rocky; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn, of Parrish, Fla.; a brother, Frank LiMarzi, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a sister, Theresa Tisi, of White Plains. She was predeceased by four brothers, Vincent, of Italy, Peter and Steven of Port Chester, and John of Kirkland, Wash. 

Visiting hours are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains, followed by burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
