White Plains Youth Invited To Dribble, Dance, 'Have A Ball'

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – If you can dribble a basketball, you can audition for a White Plains performance that fuses sport with dance and gives students in grades eight and nine a chance to “Have a Ball.”

Choreographer Peter Pucci will be casting the community project, “Having a Ball”, March 23 at Eastview Middle School’s upper gym on 350 Main St. Before that, Pucci will hold a demonstration at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday for kids interested in auditioning. The program is hosted by ArtsWestchester, the White Plains Youth Bureau and Department of Parks and Recreation. It is paid for through a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.

Students chosen for the program will train with Pucci during ten free Saturday sessions.
