White Plains Tattoo Artists Competing On 'Ink Master'

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. --  The tattoo artists at Thicker Than Blood in White Plains are looking to earn the title of "Ink Master."

Jhon Campuzano and Babiery Hernandez are contestants on Season 9 of the tattoo competition show, which airs on Spike TV beginning June 6. The winning tattoo shop receives $200,000 and a feature spread in Inked magazine. The show is hosted by guitarist Dave Navarro.

Campuzano has been tattooing for eight years and said his go-to style is black and gray. He has dreamed of competing on "Ink Master" and hopes winning the show will help him provide for his wife and daughter. He said he has the ability to work under pressure.

Hernandez has always loved art and said he is confident that he has great tattooing skills. He is very passionate about drawing and feels his artistry will help put him above the rest. Hernandez is coming into the competition to represent his family, who he credits as his inspiration to be a great artist.
