Westchester County has become quite the craft beer bar scene, stepping up its suds game and offering residents a host of “hoppy” options. We asked for the best in the county; you gave us your picks. Now, five finalists are competing in our “DVlicious Best Craft Beer Bar in Westchester County” contest. Each is being profiled this week.
Raise your glass and drink in the following; then click on your favorite. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
Voting ends 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. The winner will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it has raised the bar in Westchester.
Number of Craft Beers: Fifty-two on tap, with a rotating line-up, beer tastings and “tap take-overs” every other week. More than 200 kinds of bottled brew.
Why It’s Liquid Gold: This is a beer haven's delight with a whole menu devoted to beer listed by country and state. Wash down the eatery's famed chicken wings, lemon herb fries or white truffle mac ‘n’ cheese with a dark German lager such as Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock, or go for the malty and spicy Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest made by the Avery Brewing Company in Colorado. For the wheat sensitive, there are also gluten-free beers.
Cheers to Beers: 154 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, (914) 761-0272. www.lazyboysaloon.
