White Plains Hospital was recognized as part of The Joint Commission’s 2015 annual report America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Surgical Care, and Perinatal Care. White Plains Hospital is one of only 1,043 hospitals in the United States to achieve the 2014 Top Performer distinction, which is based on discharge data from 2014.
This is the second time that White Plains Hospital has been recognized as a Top Performer. In 2013, the Hospital was recognized for its performance on accountability measure data for Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, and Surgical Care.
“White Plains Hospital patients expect top-notch care. We take great pride in providing that care, and we are committed to improving positive patient outcomes through evidence-based processes,” said Susan O’Boyle, RN MSN CPHQ, Vice President of Quality for White Plains Hospital. “White Plains Hospital is proud to be named a Top Performer once again, as it recognizes the knowledge, teamwork and dedication of our entire staff.”
“Delivering the right treatment in the right way at the right time is a cornerstone of high-quality health care. I commend the efforts of White Plains Hospital for their excellent performance on the use of evidence-based interventions,” said Dr. Mark R. Chassin, president and CEO, The Joint Commission.
