What Did You Buy Mom For Mother's Day?

A recent survey of 500 moms by insure.com reveals that gift cards and spa treatments are appreciated but there's nothing as special as a homemade gift.
Some of the most common Mother’s Day gifts were given a thumbs-down from Moms this year:
- Perfume: Nearly 25 percent of moms want to pick their own scents.
- Flowers: 14 percent aren't longing for a Mother's Day bouquet.
- Appliances: 24 percent of moms said no to gifts like vacuums and blenders.
More than a third prefer homemade gifts, and moms surveyed would take a shopping spree over jewelry.
Regardless of what moms desire, the average buyer of gifts will spend over $172, according to howmuch.net.
Most money will be spent on electronics, followed by jewelry and special outings.
