The hospital posted two of its five tips provided by Garcia last week. In the first fashion tip, a physician wears a red blazer with a black dress. “Not everyone feels comfortable wearing red,’’ said Garcia, who is also a contributor to E! Fashion. “It’s a bold color.”
Garcia pointed out, however, that the red blazer provides versatility. “You could wear it out during the day or on weekends,’’ Garcia said. For more details on the first fashion tip, click here.
Garcia’s second model wore a black dress accompanied by a red clutch handbag and red accents, such as a bracelet, ring and lipstick. The model also had red soles on her black high heels.
“It shows us everyone can wear red,’’ Garcia said. For the link to the second fashion tip, click here.
Westchester Medical Center staff members also wore red on National Wear Red Day last Friday to show support, and The Center held A Day For Hearts on Sunday at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. The event was the 14th annual celebration party for children with congenital heart defects and their families.

On Thursday, Feb. 26, Westchester Medical Center will host another event called Girls Night Out with food, fashion and friends. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the event website.
