Respect Thy Oyster: With a dedication to honoring seafood, Owner Les Barnes and Chef Bobby Will of Saltaire Oyster Bar & Fish House work closely to offer a menu where local, seasonal ingredients play a supporting role to the star. The raw bar offers a rotating list of oysters from both the east and west coasts, just waiting to be hand shucked to order. IntoxiKate Recommends: The whole roasted branzini. Go: 55 Abendroth Ave., Port Chester, (914) 939-2425, www.saltaireoysterbar.com/.

Farm-to-Wok Chinese Food: Forget the MSG hangover—WUJI elevates Chinese to a whole new level, offering dishes with organic ingredients. Two locations opened this year—you can find WUJI in Scarsdale and Rye—and the restaurant is expanding into Connecticut in 2016. IntoxiKate Recommends: The spicy fried rice with crispy shallots and a sunny side egg perched on top. Go: 2 Chase Rd., Scarsdale, (914) 713-8811 and 26 Purchase St., Rye, (914) 481-4758, www.wujirestaurant.com/.

Modern Comes to Mamaroneck: Sebastian Aliberti and Anthony Russo of Modern (New Rochelle) moved their culinary creativity north, adding Modern on The Rails to their restaurant roster. Located in the Mamaroneck train station, the duo pairs the beautiful Romanesque, old-world charm of the station with traditional southern Italian dishes. IntoxiKate Recommends: The chipotle calamari. Go: 1 Station Plaza, Mamaroneck, (914) 777-9300, www.modernontherails.com/.

"Little" Restaurant Empire Goes Big: Little Drunken Chef joins the roster of Littles in Mount Kisco—Little Spice Bazaar, Little Crepe Street, and Little Kabab Station—with a tapas bar that offers international fare, with flavors from Spain, Morocco, and Vietnam. IntoxiKate Recommends: Crispy patatas bravas. Go: 36 E. Main St., Mount Kisco, (914) 242-8800, www.littledrunkenchef.com/.

Coming To a Plate Near You:

Chef Navjot Arora is moving his award-winning Indian restaurant, Chutney Masala, to 76 Main Street in Irvington in mid-January. Diners can expect the same quality and pricing, but with a larger kitchen, Arora can add options like brown rice and quinoa to the menu, as well as gluten-free naan bread.

Shortly after the move, Arora will open a Southeast Asia restaurant in Chutney Masala’s current location (4 W. Main St., Irvington), exposing suburban diners to even more ethnic cuisines.

Also check out L’inizio in Ardsley which expanded the space next door, offering a bigger bar to whet your whistle and enjoy their Barrels and Bites menu.
