Runners Lacing Up For Annual Westchester Festival

The Westchester Medical Center Running Festival is set for Sunday, Oct. 13 on the Bronx River Parkway and beginning at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, according to a press release. 

People of all ages are invited to lace up their running shoes for the road race and a festival featuring a host of exhibitors, according to the release. The event features a half marathon and a quarter marathon for runners, and a half marathon for walkers, according to the release. 

Runners ages 12 and under can compete in a special non-competitive Kids Fun Run which starts at the County Center, according to the release, and registration is free and available on race day.

The registration fee is $90 for the half marathons (14 years of age or older) and $60 for the quarter marathon (12 years of age or older), according to the release. Those interested are asked to fill out the registration form at the Genesis Adventures website

The Bronx River Parkway will be closed to automobile traffic from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the day of the race, according to the release.
