More than 50 young entrepreneurs from across the country will be on hand selling and in some cases trading, their hard-to-find collectible sneakers from noon to 8 p.m.
Sneakerheads are individuals who collect exclusive sneakers and resale them for a profit.
The mall is expected to be jammed packed with sneaker fans from New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, Brooklyn, and Harlem, said John Thompson, marketing, and business development manager with the mall.
"What’s interesting is a large percentage of sneakerheads are junior high and high school kids who have turned their hobby into an enterprise and are now-notables on social media and overall are entrepreneurs at such a young age," Thompson said.
During the event attendees are allowed to buy, sell and trade their sneakers and SneakerHead apparel, also during the event prizes such as branded Galleria skateboard decks and bicycles will be given away.
