A recent survey conducted by C4, a consumer research firm, states that 48 percent of moviegoers would pay $1 or more for extra security in theaters, and that 23 percent would pay $2 or more, according to the report.
After an ax-wielding man was shot by police in a Nashville movie theater Aug. 5, the number of people willing to pay $3 or more rose from 13 percent to 19 percent, according to Vulture.
