YWCA White Plains Offers Learn-to-Swim Class For Seniors

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester is offering a learn-to-swim class designed specifically for senior citizens.

The beginner class is intended to help seniors keep active, stay healthy and overcome fears of water in a supportive environment led by American Red Cross-certified aquatics instructors. Basic skills, such as the front crawl, breaststroke and elementary backstroke, will be covered. 

Sessions take place at noonWednesdays beginning Sept. 16 and ending Dec. 23. 

Participation is $308 for YWCA members and $378 for non-members.
