White Plains Plans 9/11 Remembrance Service At City Memorial

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – This year, the City of White Plains will remember and honor those who lost their lives and worked to help others on Sept. 11, 2001, with a remembrance service Friday at 8 a.m. at Liberty Park on Lake Street, the city’s permanent memorial site.

The ceremony will include music, wreath laying, prayer, poem reading and tree planting in tribute to the victim’s families, first responders and men and women serving in the armed forces.

In addition, six American flags will fly from City Hall as homage to the six residents of White Plains who lost their lives that day.
