The concert will take place at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on Wednesday, July 23 at 6 p.m..
The event was rescheduled from Thursday, February 13, when a major snow storm caused the concert to be postponed.
The evening will begin with a special VIP reception featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. and the concert will follow at 8 p.m.
VIP tickets are $250 and tickets for general admission for the concert are $50. All proceeds will benefit the Joan and Alan Herfort, M.D. Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at White Plains Hospital.
Marsalis is a Grammy award-winning saxophonist and Tony award-nominated composer. He has been a featured soloist with such acclaimed orchestras as the Chicago, Detroit, Düsseldorf and North Carolina Symphonies and the Boston Pops.
Colon was the winner of the 2011 season of the television show on NBC, "The Voice." Colon has released several solo albums in his signature “acoustic soul” genre and continues to be a performer for national and international audiences.
“We are very excited to be hosting this benefit concert with two of the most extraordinarily talented musicians of our time under one roof,” said Dawn W. French, vice president for marketing and community relations at White Plains Hospital.
“The evening will be a celebration of the remarkable growth of our hospital in the past few years, and the very exciting developments coming in the near future.”
