WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester families can take in a movie and dip in a pool at several parks this summer.
The popular “Family Film Frenzy” with outdoor movies and swimming begins July 9, with the animated hit "Hotel Transylvania" (2012 – PG) at The Brook at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers. Rain date is July 10.
The park opens at 7 p.m. for after-hours swimming, picnicking and relaxing. The movie begins at sundown. Bring your own picnic or purchase food at the concession stand. Bring blankets and chairs for seating.
Admission is $5 per person (free for children under age 5) and includes the movie only. A Westchester County park pass is not required for admission. Admission wristbands go on sale the day of the event and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The series continues with a showing of "Madagascar 3" (2012 – PG) on July 16 at Willson’s Waves Pool in Mount Vernon; "Finding Nemo" (2003 – G) on July 25 at Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle; and "Rise of the Guardians.\" (2012 – PG) on Aug. 6, at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains.
