In keeping with the theme of “Visiones: A Celebration of Art, Culture and Dreams,” an art exhibition has been curated by Group Mitzli, and music will be performed by Talisman Jazz & Flamenco.
Joining Latino U CEO Shirley Acevedo Buontempo and the board of Latino U will be Joe Torres, WABC-TV news anchor, as master of ceremonies; Iris Pagan, executive director of the Westchester Youth Bureau; and Sarah Reingold, representative of the office of U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. Latino U students and a parent will join the program as well.
Being honored by Latino U College Access is its collaborator, Dunbar Educational Consultants, of New Canaan, Conn. Founded in 1984, Dunbar provides professional guidance services to U.S. and international students bound for secondary schools, colleges and graduate programs. Students come to Dunbar with widely diverse backgrounds, abilities and interests.
The fundraiser's top sponsors include Tompkins Mahopac Bank and the College of New Rochelle.
