The sales will span six counties and include dozens of real estate agencies.
Last year, 22 HGAR real estate agencies raised almost $8,000 for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley, the Tarrytown-based non-profit group that grants the wishes of children dealing with life-threatening medical conditions. At this year’s garage sales, HGAR’s family of real estate agencies will offer discounted items brought in by their agents, and all money will go directly to Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley.
Many real estate agencies throughout the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange counties have volunteered to participate in this region-wide Garage Sale, which is open to the public.

Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley has granted more than 2,000 wishes to Hudson Valley children with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization serves eight counties: Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester. The organization is currently working on 160 wishes with the average cost of a wish ranging from $7,500 to $10,000.
The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors is a not-for-profit trade association covering over 9,000 real estate professionals doing business in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties.
