'Dance Moms' Stars To Hold Fashion Show In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Stars of the hit reality TV show "Dance Moms" will host a back-to-school fashion show and meet-and-greet Sept. 8 at the Westchester Mall.

The free event will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the Anti-Bullying Pledge. Chloe Lukasiak and Maddie Ziegler, along with their mothers, Christi and Melissa, respectively, will represent the show, now in its second season on Lifetime.

"As a mom of two daughters, I feel teaching our children about this cause is an invaluable asset to help them in the future," Christi said. "Many people are surprised to learn Chloe and Maddie still attend school in a public setting and deal with everyday problems just like everyone else."

A live duet performance by Chloe and Maddie will follow the fashion show, along with a Q&A session with the moms on what life is like now, and how they deal with bullying.

"Dance Moms" follows children's early steps on the road to competing for national dance titles under the guidance of dance instructor Abby Lee Miller at her dance studio, the Abbey Lee Dance Company, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The show also focuses on the dance moms and how far they go to help their children.

"We look forward to meeting the kids in the Westchester area," Christi said. "Chloe and Maddie have a special performance planned, which will be dedicated to anti-bullying."
