Country Music Royalty Coming to White Plains In November

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- To kick off its "Music’s Next Generation" concert series in November, the White Plains Performing Arts Center will present Holly Williams, daughter of Hank Williams Jr. and granddaughter of Hank Williams.

Hailed by American Songwriter as a "sophisticated, introspective singer/songwriter," the Washington Post said Williams has "a lovely, ever-on-the-verge-of-breaking voice, and knows how to sell a song."

The Nashville-based Williams will perform at 8 p.m., Nov. 21. Tickets are $40 and $30 and can be purchased by visiting the theater box office, online or by calling 914-328-1600. For group sales, call 914-328-1600.

The theater is on the third level of City Center at the corner of Main Street and Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.

Williams released her debut album "The Ones We Never Knew" in 2004. The follow-up. "Here With Me" was released in 2009, earning high praise from The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, People, Entertainment Weekly, American Songwriter, NPR Weekend Edition Sunday. She released her third studio album, "The Highway," in February.
